Recently with our upcoming expenses I have been feeling tugged to deClutter not only our House but also our "Extra" amenities, i.e. phone, television, and anything we can downsize.
We have to pay for a new Baby and we all know that's expensive. Well without insurance and deciding to go to a midwife it is costing WAY more than I had to pay with my first two. Well let me clarify I paid 5 dollars for Lexi because some church in Watertown, NY made these little outfits for the babies and the hospital put it on them. And with Logan I paid nothing. So even a small amount is ALOT more than what I had to pay with them. But this time around we do not have military insurance. But I am excited about the process of this one which I will talk about in another blog.
Also, we are paying for my schooling this Summer. I will get the GI Bill again after I bring my GPA back up. In the past I had to drop out of school several times in order to support my family. But this time I have a loving husband that is making it possible for me to go to school.
We are now planning a trip for Terry to go to Reno, NV to see his son compete in State Championship for swimming. He is a sophomore this year and we are super excited for him. But Terry really needs to be there for him considering he hasn't been there for Dustin in over a year. We need to change that!
Two of Terry's kids will be here this summer and we are super excited! As another reason to save money.
We also need a bigger car with the new addition. We are hoping to get that in August. And we are planning on buying our first House next year.
Between both of us getting divorced in the past 3 years we both want to get completely out of debt and not have that ugly monster on our back.
I am sorry if I sound like I am complaining or whining but just explaining the need to downsize!
The first thing I have done is downgraded my phone and plan. I have gone old school and the texting is annoying me right now but its all for a good cause! We are about to shut off our extra phone and between the two we will save about $200 a month. We will only be paying two cell bills now. Mine and Terry's dads.
The second thing we have done is removed out Cable and we will only have Netflix.
Eating out will not be an option for a LONG time unless it is a special occasion.
I am about to set up a very strict budget and we will completely stick to it.
Now to just get motivated to DeClutter the house! I am the worlds worst at housecleaning. Let me rephrase that. I can clean really good, sometimes I'm very OCD and tend to try to be a perfectionist. But I need to stay motivated and keep it clean! So I can turn our "Ghetto" House into our beautiful home.
For a while know I keep hearing the Lord whisper in my ear, "Stormy if you declutter everything and keep it that way I will bless you will more!" Which this is so true He wants to be able to trust us with little before he gives us more! He wouldn't give his riches to a man who gambles.
