I am horrible about wanting to do a million things in a day and accomplishing nothing. I always get off track. I can do these things in a day but I get lazy or preoccupied with other things. I just need to get re-organized and make sure I stick to my schedule.
UPDATE: "Shredding Fat"
Well working out was a bust this week but I am now on day 5 of my Max phase of my 24 day challenge. That is day 15 of 24. I havent lost pounds but I have lost inches. My clothes are fitting better. I think if I can stick to my workout routines and drink more water it will start falling off.
Also, the Spiritual shredding has been amazing.
So, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
I have truly found freedom in a situation I thought I was walking in freedom with. It was amazing the peace I felt after the tears were gone. And it was amazing how God ordained it all and I was able to share it with two of my closest friends!! All week I have been having actual quiet time with God every morning and journaling. I see a difference when I am talking with others now. I'm being more intentional about if I'm glorifying God. I'm noticing if I'm pointing people to or from God by my Words or actions. It's easy for us to get caught up in ourselves and forget about the others but this week my goal is to talk less about me and more about God and others.
My prayer for this week is to be better with my time management, workout more and be less about me and more about God and others.
I am hoping to keep our friends and family updated on here about this exciting journey of love, laughter and hard work God has us on.

Shredding Fat: Physically & Mentally
I LOVE FOOD, the sweets especially candy. I always have. When I was little I would steal my brothers at any holiday. If there were a cake or cookies (which was rare at my house) I was sure to eat it all! But think about it, aren't sweets just like sin? They are both oh so juicy and enticing but we never feel the results until after they are gone. I know I have had my fair share of both.
Well-- I am at a season in my life where God is shredding my FAT, both physically and spiritually. Don't you love how God uses things we can feel and see to help us deal with things we can't physically see or feel.
I had my sweet Woody 4 months ago and gained over 50 lbs. I currently weight 200 lbs. I'm the biggest I've ever been. I recently quit breastfeeding (which is another topic all in itself) and now I can get SERIOUS about the size 12's in my closet I want to fit into. I'm being realistic here. I've only been a size 7 once in my life and that was after Logan was born and I wasn't in the best place in my life. (Lots of SIN!!) but normally in my life I've been a size 9 without muscle. I plan on having some muscle, especially with the amount of time I devote to working out.
Over the past year and half God has been working on getting my husband and I where we are now! I can say for a fact we are Christians. We haven't always followed him every second of every day but we are getting closer. We are trying to raise our kids by God's Word. Yesterday, I finally saw fruit of our attempts. Lexi was sick and she asked me to pray over her (which she never has done.) Logan was in the living room during that time and he came back and asked what was wrong with his sister. I told him she was sick and he asked if he could pray over her. It was one of the sweetest and proudest moments I've had has a mom.
I am horrible about knowing where certain scriptures are but I am getting better.
God does not help us to that next step until we start taking some initiative. With that being said let me say how my "shredding" process is going.
Physically-- I started the 24 day challenge by Advocare. I also count calories and workout. I've allowed myself no more than 1440 calories. I still allow myself some sweets otherwise I'm not being realistic to myself. I am on day 10 of the cleanse phase. Also, I am working out like a mad woman. In the mornings I am doing 1-1 1/2 hours of p90x, 30 min to 1 hour of Zumba on the xbox (I like the girl on there, she is extremely encouraging and makes me feel great about myself) and I try to go to the gym for an hour each day. Yesterday with Lexi being sick with allergies I chose to stay home and clean house instead. But today I'll get back on track. As my actual weight hasn't dropped, I have noticed my clothes have become loose and others have complimented me on how I look. Also, I have replaced all caffine with Spark (also made my Advocare) It helps me focus and gives me amazing energy.
Spiritually-- God has placed, who I call, my sisters in my life to hold me accountable. For someone who has had few good friends in my life I have an abundance of them now. Also, Terry and I just started a class at church called "Free Indeed." The scripture of the class is John 8:36, "So, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed." I am starting to truly believe this promise. The next 8 weeks will be trying. God never said it wouldn't hurt, in fact he promises trials and tribulations. It is how we react to them that reveals our true character. Do we seek Him or ourselves? Recently, my grandma passed away, my grandpa is slowly deteriorating, and my mom started chemo. I'm learning to PRAY more! Its always been a problem for me. I also struggle with being LAZY but over the past few weeks I've been being more productive. A little more each day. Every morning I get up at 5-5:30 am and iron my husbands clothes to get him ready for the day. I'm choosing to serve him instead of myself. (Now I'm not saying everyone should do this but this is how I serve him. Others require different things. This is what makes my husband happy. and a clean house.) Yesterday I cleaned all but 2 rooms in my house. Today I'm planning on cleaning those and cooking 7 meals to cut down on time and in case I have an off day its already ready or takes 10 minutes to fix. For anyone who knows me knows I struggle with all of this. I can only do all these things because my husband works hard for me to stay home with the kids and through Christ's strength.
So I will take it 1 day, 1 inch, 1 pound and 1 scripture at a time, by 1 God's authority.
Two scriptures will be my motto during this phase.
1. John 8:36
So, if the son sets you free, you are free indeed.
And...
2. Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I thank God for loving me enough to allow me to be His daughter!
Teach me-- Guide me by your steps Lord. <3

Procrastination
Procrastinate: to defer action
I am the worlds worst at putting things off! I am trying to get better but what ends up happening is I say 5 more minutes and that turns into 20 and so on. Then it repeats a horrible cycle in my life. I get mad at myself at night for not doing the things I wanted (or needed) to do during the day and then I take it out on the ones closest to me.
Then I spiral into a fit of depression and shut myself off from the world.
I recently have gone through this. But I refuse to do this anymore! Not only am I suffering but my family and friends suffer as well. I seem to others as nothing is wrong but deep inside it hurts. I know the Lord is doing some serious work on my heart from my past transgressions and I need to quit letting the enemy take hold.
When I get like this I always hear in my head "well she really isn't your friend" or "She is only nice to you to your face, she really talks about you behind your back." Which are more insecurities I face daily. But I know those are lies from the enemy! I refuse to let him have anymore ground in my life.
So I thought I would post Goals to accomplish.
Today: I will clean my entire house and Car.
Tonight I start a bible study which I believe will help A LOT.
1 Week: I want to have kept my house clean every day.
Spend quiet time with the Lord every morning.
I will have read 6 Chapters in my History book and 12 essays.
I will have completed my first assignment in History this Thursday when it opens up.
1 Month: Budget for house.
Chore Chart for kids.
Monthly Activities planned out for June.
Checkbook balanced.
House completely organized.
I know these are simple things for most but I am trying to get out of the habit of when I clean it has to be PERFECT (which exhausts me when I finish) to the house needs to be clean and picked up. Lets face it I have 2 kids and 1 on the way and a husband that works 60-70 hours a week. So I am the only one (sick or healthy) to clean this mess up. I will have it set up where the kids will have responsibilities according to their ages but its my sole responsibility and I need to step up to the plate!
First Step: Rely on God fully and He will sustain me.
Psalm 54:4
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Decluttering our Life: Even the little places.
Recently with our upcoming expenses I have been feeling tugged to deClutter not only our House but also our "Extra" amenities, i.e. phone, television, and anything we can downsize.
We have to pay for a new Baby and we all know that's expensive. Well without insurance and deciding to go to a midwife it is costing WAY more than I had to pay with my first two. Well let me clarify I paid 5 dollars for Lexi because some church in Watertown, NY made these little outfits for the babies and the hospital put it on them. And with Logan I paid nothing. So even a small amount is ALOT more than what I had to pay with them. But this time around we do not have military insurance. But I am excited about the process of this one which I will talk about in another blog.
Also, we are paying for my schooling this Summer. I will get the GI Bill again after I bring my GPA back up. In the past I had to drop out of school several times in order to support my family. But this time I have a loving husband that is making it possible for me to go to school.
We are now planning a trip for Terry to go to Reno, NV to see his son compete in State Championship for swimming. He is a sophomore this year and we are super excited for him. But Terry really needs to be there for him considering he hasn't been there for Dustin in over a year. We need to change that!
Two of Terry's kids will be here this summer and we are super excited! As another reason to save money.
We also need a bigger car with the new addition. We are hoping to get that in August. And we are planning on buying our first House next year.
Between both of us getting divorced in the past 3 years we both want to get completely out of debt and not have that ugly monster on our back.
I am sorry if I sound like I am complaining or whining but just explaining the need to downsize!

The first thing I have done is downgraded my phone and plan. I have gone old school and the texting is annoying me right now but its all for a good cause! We are about to shut off our extra phone and between the two we will save about $200 a month. We will only be paying two cell bills now. Mine and Terry's dads.
The second thing we have done is removed out Cable and we will only have Netflix.
Eating out will not be an option for a LONG time unless it is a special occasion.
I am about to set up a very strict budget and we will completely stick to it.
Now to just get motivated to DeClutter the house! I am the worlds worst at housecleaning. Let me rephrase that. I can clean really good, sometimes I'm very OCD and tend to try to be a perfectionist. But I need to stay motivated and keep it clean! So I can turn our "Ghetto" House into our beautiful home.
For a while know I keep hearing the Lord whisper in my ear, "Stormy if you declutter everything and keep it that way I will bless you will more!" Which this is so true He wants to be able to trust us with little before he gives us more! He wouldn't give his riches to a man who gambles.

Following His Design

I started college on May 16th. I am nervous about this class considering its only 2 1/2 weeks long. It is the first history class I need for my basics. I have been keeping up with the homework and already completed the first assignment. It is just ALOT of reading. I have to read 4 chapters out of the History book and about 4-6 essays out of another book for every 4 days.
I just paid for the two classes I am taking in June. The Lord has provided when I was worried where the money was going to come from. Now I just have to pay for the books for those two classes and My classes in July.
I qualified for the FAFSA grant. It will probably be the last time I do considering I didn't have to claim Terry this year. But thankfully it will cover all of the Fall 2011, December Class, Spring 2012 and I decided to only take 1 summer session in 2012.
This will be an exciting time in our lives. I will be stressed but it will be ok. We have a baby coming at the end of this year and add that to our other kids. :) But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Please just continue to pray for our family as we go through this time and especially for my patient husband with my mood swings from the baby and stress of school and kids.
If everything goes as planned then I should be attending UTPB in Fall 2012! I am trying not to completely overload myself but complete school as fast as possible. I am hoping to have my Bachelors in Social Work in less than 4 years.

Vision from God
After my sweet Logan was born I had no clue where God wanted me to advance His kingdom. I got down on my knees and prayed, "God what do you want me to do, where do you want me?" I then went to the shower and he answered my prayer down to the visual of what he wants. God told me He wants me to open a girls home. The bad of the bad. He even showed me the floor plans of the buildings on the property. I have feared the past couple of years I wasn't up for this and why me. But I am no longer fearing my capabilities.
A few months after this vision God put it on my heart to also open a house that will be called Paiyton's House. This will be a home where women can go that are pregnant and have their babies. They will not have to pay a dime but they will be giving up their baby for adoption instead of having an abortion.
About 3 months ago I was watching a special on CNN about child prostitution. There is really no where for these children to go except Juvy. These children aren't criminals they are victims. I want to have another house completely seculded from the rest of the land for these children.
Sometimes I feel that this is way to much for just me and I am right. The Lord has been placing people in my life to help with this journey. I will have a full staff after opening this. But first I must go to school. I start school on May 17th. I am nervous but I know now with the Lord on my side it will be good! I have an estimated open date of 10 years of now. I will complete a Bachelors in Social Work and Masters in Psychology. If God allows a disortation to get my PhD then I will follow that but right now I am just planning on becoming a certified counselor.
When I met my husband and told him all these visions he completely supports me and encourages me to follow this. It was funny a couple years ago someone asked me who was I going to get to build this and I said I'm not worried the Lord will send me a carpenter. I didn't really know what I was saying but it was a prophetic word.
I thank the Lord for my blessings and beautiful friends He has given us. Thank you all for choosing to do life with us!
